Description

Ammonium sulphate AR is used in laboratory analysis chemical research and testing.

Ammonium Sulphate AR (Analytical Reagent) is a high-purity appearing as white or brownish-grey crystals. It is primarily used in laboratory settings for protein precipitation, antibody separation, and as a high-purity reagent, rather than in agricultural quantities.

  • Applications: Used in molecular biology for protein purification (salting out), as a fertilizer component in specialized research, and in biochemical assays.
  • Safety: While not generally classified as a hazardous substance, it can cause skin and eye irritation (H315, H319). It is stable but should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from strong oxidizing agents.
