A rare earth oxide (REO) mix is a processed concentrate of multiple rare earth elements, such as La, Ce, Pr, and Nd, typically obtained from mining waste, monazite, or bastnaesite, for use in high-tech applications like magnets, catalysts, and electronics. These mixtures are produced via crushing, grinding, leaching, and solvent extraction (e.g., using TBP or DBBP) to reach a high purity (often 90–98%), making them suitable for direct industrial use or further separation into individual elements.
