Ferric Chloride Anhydrous

Ferric chloride anhydrous is supplied for water treatment etching and industrial chemical processing.

Ferric Chloride Anhydrous (Iron(III) chloride) is a highly reactive, dark crystalline solid (chemical formula FeCl₃) primarily used for water treatment, metal etching, and chemical synthesis. Unlike the hydrated form, the anhydrous version is a potent Lewis acid and must be kept strictly dry to avoid vigorous reactions with moisture. 

Core Properties
Appearance: Crystals appear dark green by reflected light and purple-red by transmitted light. In powder form, it often appears brownish-black.
Hygroscopy: It is extremely hygroscopic, meaning it rapidly absorbs moisture from the air to form hydrates or a liquid solution (deliquescence).
Solubility: Highly soluble in water, alcohol, and ether.
Hazards: Classified as corrosive (Class 8). It can cause severe skin and eye irritation and is harmful if swallowed.
