Primary Use: The main application for Earth Pro BioFoam Subzero is to transport drill cuttings to the surface in under-balanced fluid systems during air rotary drilling and underground tunneling operations.
Additional Uses: It can also function as a dust suppressant and a discharge auger coolant.
Freeze Protection: This product is specifically designed to be freeze-protected, a key advantage over standard BioFoam in cold conditions, with a pour point of less than -40°C & F.
Performance: It is known for its high foaming ability and long half-life, which ensures the foam remains stable and functional for a prolonged period, enhancing hole cleaning and increasing penetration rates.
Properties: According to Di-Corp, it is highly dispersible in water, non-flammable, non-toxic, and biodegradable.
Physical Appearance: It is an amber-colored liquid with an alkaline pH of 11.0-12.0.
Handling and Mixing
Mixing: Earth Pro BioFoam Subzero can be added directly to makeup water with mild agitation or injected directly into the water line using a chemical pump.
Concentration: The recommended concentration varies by application:
Regular foam/gel foam applications: 2-6L per 400L of water.
Dust suppressant: 0.25-0.5L per 400L of water.
Mist drilling: 1-2L per 400L of water.
