Oxidation Resistance: Unlike pure ferrous sulfate, Mohr’s salt is remarkably stable against atmospheric oxidation, making it the preferred primary standard for iron(II) in labs.
Redox Titrations: It is the standard reagent for standardising potassium permanganate

Solubility: Highly soluble in water (approx. 26.9g/100cc at 20°C); solutions are typically acidified with sulfuric acid to prevent hydrolysis and oxidation.
Laboratory Uses: Used in photography, iron-plating baths, and as a reducing agent in various chemical syntheses. 

Safety & Handling 
Hazards: Classified as harmful if swallowed; causes skin and serious eye irritation.
Storage: Should be stored in a cool, dry place. It is air and light-sensitive, so keeping containers tightly sealed is essential for maintaining purity.
