Fluorspar powder is supplied for metallurgical flux ceramic production and industrial processing.

Fluorspar powder with 70% CaF₂ purity is generally classified as metallurgical grade and is primarily used as a fluxing agent in steel and cement production. 

Uses and Applications
This grade of fluorspar, often referred to as “metspar” or metallurgical grade, is valued for its ability to lower melting points and increase fluidity in various industrial processes. 
Steel Manufacturing: The primary use is as a flux to lower the melting temperature of raw materials and increase the chemical reactivity of the slag. This helps to absorb and remove impurities such as sulphur, phosphorus, and carbon.
Cement Industry: It is used as a flux to speed up the calcination process, which allows kilns to operate at lower temperatures, saving energy.
Ceramics and Glass: This grade can be used in the production of opalescent glass, enamels, and cooking utensils as an opacifier and flux.
Welding: It is sometimes used in the manufacture of certain welding fluxes and electrodes.
