Description
Copper oxide sample used in exploration quality control and metallurgical studies.
AMIS0410 Cu 1.713% Oxide Copperbelt ZM is a Certified Reference Material (CRM), a control sample used for quality control in analytical laboratories. It consists of oxide copper ore sourced from the Kansanshi Mine in Zambia.
Product Details
- Intended Use: The material is primarily used to monitor inter-laboratory or instrument bias and within-lab precision during routine assay laboratory quality control.
- Origin of Material: The standard was produced using oxide ore from the Kansanshi Mine, located in the North Western Province of Zambia. Kansanshi is majority-owned by Kansanshi Mining PLC, a First Quantum subsidiary.
- Material Properties: The material is a very fine powder, colored Pale Yellow 5Y 8/3. It was prepared by crushing, dry-milling, and air-classifying to a particle size of <54 micrometers.
- Certification: The material properties were determined through a “round robin” measurement campaign involving nineteen participating laboratories, with statistical analysis performed by independent statisticians. Standards with a Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) of near or less than 5% are termed “Certified”.
